At The Bee Fairy, we’re passionate about countryside living, sustainability, and the belief that nature has everything we need to care for ourselves — and our animals — gently and responsibly.
Founded by Mike and Belinda Palfrey, The Bee Fairy began with a simple mission: to create effective, natural skincare and wellness products using the power of pure beeswax, botanicals, and essential oils — without harming the environment.
🐝 Our Story
The Bee Fairy was born out of love, necessity — and one very special dog.
When our beloved dog Ola began suffering from skin issues, we were shocked to discover how many harsh chemicals were hidden in everyday pet and skincare products. Determined to help her heal in a gentler, more natural way, we began searching for alternatives — starting with what we already had around us.
At the time, I was already keeping bees, and as we explored natural remedies, I became deeply curious about the healing and protective properties of beeswax. That spark quickly turned into a passion. We began formulating simple, beeswax-based balms to soothe Ola’s skin — and they worked.
What began as a way to help her soon evolved into a broader vision: to create natural, effective, and chemical-free balms for people, dogs, and even horses — using ingredients you could trust.
From those early days around the kitchen table, The Bee Fairy took flight.
Today, we still handcraft every balm at our home, Hanley Mill, nestled in the heart of the Teme Valley. With the help of pure beeswax, natural oils, and a sprinkle of magic, we’re proud to make gentle products that support wellbeing — for people, animals, and the environment.

Beeswax is more than just a natural ingredient — it’s the heart of what we do. Produced by worker bees as a by-product of honey-making, beeswax is packed with vitamin A, moisture-retaining compounds, and skin-healing properties.

Yes! We make specific balms for dogs and horses, using pet-safe essential oils and natural ingredients. We never include tea tree or other oils known to be unsafe for animals.
❓ What kind of packaging do you use?
We use plastic-free bamboo tubes and tubs, which are reusable and biodegradable. Sustainability is a key part of what we do.
